Statutory obligation and structure

In accordance with Education and Skills Funding Agency (ESFA) guidance and to ensure that we are compliant with academy financial regulations, the data below pertains to the appointment and service of each of our governors.

“The composition of OAT local governing bodies will always include:

  • At least one co-opted community governor.
  • Two parent governors.
  • At least one and no more than two staff governors.
  • One OAT nominee.
  • The principal.

The LGB operates with these committees: Strategic Progress Board and Finance and General Purposes committee. These are the mandatory committees all the academies have to operate – they can have more if they wish, but not instead of SPB and FGP.”
