WOA Pride

Staff and studnets at WOA have been learning about the LGBT+ community. A key group of staff have continued that learning with Allsorts Youth Project to become Allys. As well as that, some students have set up a ‘Proud Pals’ group who have led on our very first WOA Pride.

Tomorrow’s Plan:

Students can wear rainbow or coloured accessories as well as their full uniform.
Students can donate money to stonewall.org.uk (buckets will be on the gate)
Students can write in any coloured pens (other than blue/black) for the day
We have added 20 books to the library with LGBT+ characters in them
Some lessons will highlight relevant LGBT+ issues and have subject specific activities

This is just the beginning of our work on celebrating the diverse community at WOA. Look out for pictures and news on our first WOA Pride.
